Bethany Lutheran Church has been so richly blessed, that in return, the hearts of our people are set in giving to monthly missions consisting of various ministries, organizations and outreach programs, helping those in need and less fortunate. Through our mission giving, Bethany has been able to joyfully tithe (at least 10 percent) of our congregational giving each year.
The Bethany Ladies Guild also provides a breakfast once a month, following the Sunday Worship Service, with a portion of the breakfast donations always designated to specific missions.

January ~ Cover Girls
The Bethany Cover Girls Quilt Ministry has been making tie quilts weekly for many years. These quilts are cut, sewn and tied with much love and care, and then distributed for both various celebratory and less fortunate situations (Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, illness, loss of loved one, etc.). Donations help defray the cost of batting, fabric, yarn, and thread.

The Bethany Good Samaritan Fund is a special fund designed to help and assist people in our local community who are in need.
Ash Wednesday/Lent Midweeks ~ Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry
The special Ash Wednesday and Lent Midweek envelopes, along with the loose/undesignated offerings taken during the Ash Wednesday and Lent Midweek Worship Services will help defray the cost of the four Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry deliveries for 2016, feeding. This program is an ecumenical, shared effort with other community churches, providing food for over 3,000 people in 2015. March ~ Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp

April ~ ELCA World Hunger
World Hunger Jars are available for anyone interested in starting a collection of extra pocket/purse change that adds up quickly for donating to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal. Each spring, Bethany has a special blessing of the collected jars and donations prior to the Northern Great Lakes Synod Assembly, when all participating churches in the synod bring their donations. May ~ Rev Earnie Ness FLLC Summer Camp Scholarship Fund
Bethany Lutheran Church was so blessed to have Rev Earnie Ness as Interim Pastor several years ago during a time of transition. Pastor Earnie had a special place in his heart for the Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp, and upon his passing in April 2011, Bethany established the scholarship fund in his name, to help provide scholarships for children to attend summer camp. July ~ Cornerstone Community Carnival
On Rally Sunday each year, Bethany has organized the Cornerstone Community Carnival with the help of Grace United Methodist and Norway Evangelical Covenant Churches. This special outreach event is a fun-filled afternoon of activities and FREE food for the community, purchased and provided by the three churches.

November/December ~ Adopt-A-Family
For the past several years, Bethany has made Christmas a bit more special for several families in need. The congregation is invited to spend an afternoon buying gifts and food for the families with the donations that have been received.
